Wiser Recycling’s Russell Hirst, spoke to students at University Technical College Cambridge earlier this month with a presentation entitled ‘waste is such an opportunity’.
The purpose of the presentation by Wiser Recycling’s Managing Director was to demonstrate to the year 10 students the career possibilities in the sector. Russell spoke of the profound changes that have occurred in the waste industry over the last decade and explained how waste is now treated and the complexities of the modern approach to waste management.
Russell said: “We like to take an active role in our community so were happy to speak to the students about the opportunities in waste. It isn’t necessarily a career that is front of mind but it is a fast growing industry which has a positive impact on our environment”.
